Hellooooo everyone, this is Mewmew a.k.a. the guinea pig ¬.¬'', if people worried about getting food poisoning which won't happen because of me lol Since our camera guy Billy hasn't upload the photo with our personal title sheet yet, can you tell which one is me??!!

Well, we have a very successful trial cooking lesson last week, because we learn from the failure XD. We have made rice ball and Chinese pancake from this lesson. Now I am sure Foong Yue knows how to run the workshop better, right? Moreover, as you could see from the photos that were taken by our camera guy BILLY, everyone has a big smile on their faces, can you taste the happiness from the photos too? I am so looking forward to see you all in our first cooking workshop and taste your happiness lol cos thats my guinea piggy's job ^(oo)^

Promo stuff... Logo, Leaflet & Poster

Hi readers, I’m Winh, one half of the design team and here’s an update from us.

After weeks of painstaking (using the term lightly) work from planning to thinking of ideas to designing and through more deliberation, the promotional materials are finally done and printed.

Again, here is the taste of happiness logo in it’s original colour which was completed weeks ago (special thanks to Jordon for providing the illustration).

Yesterday, we had a meeting to discuss various issues for the project. In the meeting we continued planning the lessons to ensure that the workshops will be well organised and run professionally. (^_^)

As you can see through the window we've been working hard till late in the evening. ( ゚ ヮ゚)

The date and time for all the workshops have almost been confirmed and will be released next week, so the wait is almost over for those who have been eagerly waiting. The Trial Begins

Yesterday, was the trial lesson for the team so that we could all practice making succulent traditional Chinese festive food. We want to make sure the workshops are well organised so making and eating food is necessary to achieve this. (^_^)

Our photographer (Billy) has taken many photos during the trial lesson which he'll post soon, so watch out for updates to have a taste of what to expect in the workshops. (^_^)

The Design Team

Hey everyone, we’re the design team! The one on the left with the silky smooth hair is me, Gordon, and the one on the right with the silky smooth paper next to his elbow is Winh.

Our job is to promote the Taste of Happiness project with our nifty brainwashing skills. As a creative advertising team, we’re highly trained in communicating creatively, and sometimes subliminally. =p (If anyone is looking to hire a creative advertising team, feel free to contact us!) =D

Anyway, I’m happy to say that we’re nearing the final stages of completing the leaflet and poster for this project. Once it’s completed we’ll be sure to show you guys, so be prepared to get brainwashed! Oh, and please do drop by more often to keep yourself up-to-date with our plans of world dominance. >=)

This week I've been busy contacting editors to publish our English and Chinese press release. On Friday, our Chinese press release will be published in a number of newspapers which we are all excited about. ( ゚ ヮ゚) I would like to thank the team, for their hard work and efforts in helping to make this possible. (^_^)

The Hard Work Continues

We've been really busy lately working on the preparation for the Marketing and PR work to promote the project. On Tuesday the PR team finished working on the Chinese and English press release, and the designers finished designing the logo which looks great! (^_^) Comparing it to one of the initial designs I posted before, I can surely say that it doesn't have the Chinese take-away feel anymore. (´ヮ`)

OMAIGAD! It's the PR Team!! xD

Hello people!

Now that you're acquainted with our dear project manager and our lovely chef, it's time to forget about them and get to know the PR team! >=p

The PR team consists of me, Ching (left) and the other members are Cathy (middle) and Hei-Tung (right). Due to the fact that our beloved project manager, Tony believes that we are not swamped enough with work, for this week and the next, the PR team members will be posting introductions of themselves as well as their take on being part of the ToH project. Fun huh? =)

Aside from bringing the coolness to the ToH project, the PR team has been preeeetty busy since the project started. For me, the past 2 weeks involved writing press releases and working on the content of our leaflet to promote the project. Hopefully we'll get it finalised soon and upload it on the blog. *>.> glares at design team*

On something else completely unrelated to PR, I've been signed up for a First Aid course for the project. So if you cut your finger during our workshops, I'll be taking care of your boo-boo ^-^.

All in all, it's been an interesting 2-week period of working, learning and having loads of fun! xD

Introducing The Chef

Hello Everyone! I am Foong Yue, the Chef in the project, Taste of Happiness. Basically, I'll be the one who will teach (share?) how to cook in our project's future workshops. Actually, I prefer to use the word 'sharing' instead of 'teaching', because sharing sounds more friendly; teaching sounds too serious. Nobody likes to be too serious, especially when it comes to cooking. Cooking is so much fun and it is an enjoyment!! Therefore, you'll enjoy yourself when joining our cooking workshops.

In order to organise a perfect workshop for the participants, the project team members had the 2nd meeting. Let me introduce the team members.
Standing (left to right): Billy, Gordon, Winh, Tony
Sitting (left to right): Ching, Mewmew, Cathy, Tung, FoongYue (Yes! It's me)
For more details about our team members, please stay tune to this blog. ^.^

During the break time in our meeting, Ching was able to use her break time well by having a haircut. (this implies that our team members are all-around)

Our team members is working hard to organise this project. The above picture is proof! Everyone is really concentrating! *Clap clap*
Please stay tune to our blog for more updates. You won't regret to do it ^^

Let's Start Recruiting!

Hi all, it's me, the one and only Tony. (^_^) I forgot to write an introduction about myself in the first post so if I had to use 3 words to describe myself, then I would choose Gentleman, Genius and Talented. ( ゚ヮ゚) These 3 words are self-explanatory and if you were to ask any of my team members they will surely agree. (´ヮ`)

Today, we started working on the Marketing/PR work for the project. The designers were working on the logo and the PR team were working on the Chinese/English press release. The logo is currently at it's initial stage, I quite like the logo above apart from the English typography and colour, as it seems to spark off a Chinese take-away feel. In our team we have 2 hard working designers, so we should have the perfect logo within the next 1-2 weeks. (^_^)

At the moment, promoting our project and recruiting participants to join our workshops is our priority, as you can't expect people to walk into your workshops without informing them. (゚д゚) I remember once upon a time, I was working on a project in the summer and the marketing work was delayed, so for the 1st workshop there was only 1 participant compared to over 20 participants in the second workshop. (-_-) In life you always learn from your mistakes, which is why I hope this project will be successful from start to finish. (´ヮ`)

The Beginning Has Arrived

Hello, my name is Tony, the project manager, and I would like to thank you for visiting the Taste of Happiness blog. (^_^) If you've accidentally visited this blog then I hope you will stay and join our journey in spreading the taste of happiness. (´ヮ`)

The Taste of Happiness, funded by Vcash, is a project organised and run solely by volunteers. We started this project with the purpose of inspiring youths to understand Chinese culture by learning how to cook traditional Chinese dishes. ( ゚ ヮ゚)

Today we had our first meeting to discuss the preparation for the project. Someone was suppose to help take some photos during the meeting, but I only remembered after the meeting, so here's a couple of photos of us pretending to work. (゚∀゚)

Cooking is a lifelong skill, that's why we hope to ignite our participants' interest in cooking with this project. There will be more posts to come, so stay tuned for more information about this exciting project, and for tasty behind the scene action. (^_^)
